Switch all ports to auto-growing split heap
This simplifies allocating outside of the VM because the VM doesn't
take up all remaining memory by default.

On ESP we delegate to the IDF for allocations. For all other ports,
we use TLSF to manage an outer "port" heap. The IDF uses TLSF
internally and we use their fork for the other ports.

This also removes the dynamic C stack sizing. It wasn't often used
and is not possible with a fixed outer heap.

Fix rp2 safe mode via reset press
The picodvi PR #7880 switched the saved word to the watchdog
register since it reworked the RAM layout. This works for
reset_into_safe_mode because the watchdog scratch registers are
preserved by soft resets. They *aren't* preserved for pressing the
reset button. So it broken manual safe mode. Switch back to using
RAM to store the saved word but use the pico-sdks "uninitialized"
designation instead of a fixed location.

Also fixes USB host feather status neopixel by setting the power
pin.

Basic USB host support and keyboard workflow
Connects up read, write and ctrl_transfer to TinyUSB. USB Host
support is available on iMX RT and RP2040.

Fixes #6527 (imx) and fixes #5986 (rp2).

rp2040: Avoid screeches due to audio underflow during flash writes
By pausing audio during flash writes, the worst screeching of #8121
is avoided. I don't consider this a full fix, but it greatly improves
the by far most common scenario in which the problem occurs.

Tested on rp2040 prop feather with a midi synth playing arpeggios. When
writing to the flash e.g., with
```
dd bs=512 count=32 if=/dev/zero of=/media/jepler/CIRCUITPY/boop
```
the audio goes "tap tap tap tap" during the flash write instead of the
squawking.

This isn't a 100% fix; it will still glitch out, including during USB
enumeration which must be taking a long time without servicing background
tasks. Add a delay if not usb-connected at startup ameliorates this
greatly.

rp2040: fix audio glitch at soft-reload
The internal flash cache wasn't being properly used, because
`write_blocks` unconditionally performed the flash write.

Fixing this so that the write's not done until `internal_flash_flush`
fixes the problem in my test program with i2sout & synthio.

as a future optimization, `flash_read_blocks` could learn to read out
of the cache, but that's probably not super important.

Don't idle from main if we scheduled an interrupt for 0 ticks in
the future.

Have RP2040 detect wakes that happen between setting the timer and
the idle call.

Add PicoDVI support
PicoDVI in CP support 640x480 and 800x480 on Feather DVI, Pico and
Pico W. 1 and 2 bit grayscale are full resolution. 8 and 16 bit
color are half resolution.

Memory layout is modified to give the top most 4k of ram to the
second core. Its MPU is used to prevent flash access after startup.

The port saved word is moved to a watchdog scratch register so that
it doesn't get overwritten by other things in RAM.

Right align status bar and scroll area. This normally gives a few
pixels of padding on the left hand side and improves the odds it is
readable in a case. Fixes #7562

Fixes c stack checking. The length was correct but the top was being
set to the current stack pointer instead of the correct top.
Fixes #7643

This makes Bitmap subscr raise IndexError instead of ValueError
when the index arguments are wrong.

Mark cyw43 pins "never reset" before reset_port
reset_port calls reset_all_pins, which disables the built-in pull
down. In theory, this could allow some CYW43 interfacing pin to float
to an inappropriate value. There's no proof of this! but the move can't
really hurt, either

raspberrypi: Make port_idle_until_interrupt work
This needs thorough testing before it's merged, as we tried
and reverted this once before (#5341 and #5356).

I think that besides checking for tinyusb having "something to do",
the fact that `port_interrupt_after_ticks` and `port_disable_tick`
weren't implemented that was causing a secondary problem.

I've tested this on a pico w over reboot-cycles and ctrl-c-cycles,
with and without drive automounting, with and without serial repl open,
and on a power-only connection.

I didn't notice the problem reported in #5356 after merely implementing
port_idle_until_interrupt; but I did notice that sleeps in general would
take over-long until "something" (like writing to the USB drive) happened;
I think "something" was probably calling port_enable_tick(). When this
problem was happening, sleeps would take a lot longer; for instance,
`sleep(.001)` would take about 1/20s and `sleep(.1)` would take about 1/7s.

Finish adapting flash storage size
Before this, CIRCUITPY would start at 1MB anyway. This appeared to work
only because I hadn't checked the actual size of the CIRCUITPY drive,
and because until now the flash hadn't actually crossed that 1MB
boundary into CIRCUITPY storage.

WARNING: on pico_w, upgrading/downgrading CircuitPython across this commit
boundary will erase the CIRCUITPY filesystem. After this commit,
switching between pico and pico_w firmware will erase the CIRCUITPY
filesystem

Start of USB host API
This allows you to list and explore connected USB devices. It
only stubs out the methods to communicate to endpoints. That will
come in a follow up once TinyUSB has it. (It's in progress.)

Check background pending before sleep
There is a race between when we run background tasks and when we
sleep. If an interrupt happens between the two, then we may delay
executing the background task. On some ports we checked this for
TinyUSB already. On iMX RT, we didn't which caused USB issues.
This PR makes it more generic for all background tasks including
USB.

Fixes #5086 and maybe others.

the configured flash. We will still try to read the size from the
flash first.

Redo RP2040 flash settings
This switches stage2 to C and uses Jinja to change the C code based
on flash settings from https://github.com/adafruit/nvm.toml. It
produces the fastest settings for the given set of external flashes.
Flash size is no longer hard coded so switching flashes with similar
capabilities but different sizes should *just work*.

This PR also places "ITCM" code in RAM to save the XIP cache for
code execution. Further optimization is possible. A blink code.py
still requires a number of flash fetches every blink.

Implement audiobusio and enhance PIO for it
This adds I2SOut and PDMIn support via PIO.

StateMachines can now:
 * read and read while writing
 * transfer in 1, 2 or 4 byte increments
 * init pins based on expected defaults automatically
 * be stopped and restarted
 * rxfifo can be cleared and rxstalls detected (good for tracking when
   the reading code isn't keeping up)

6e153d9948 raspberrypi: implement reset, reset_to_bootloader
This makes all the following work:
 * normal microcontroller.reset()
 * reset into safe mode or UF2 bootloader via microcontroller.on_next_reset()
 * reset into UF2 bootloader via the "1200 baud trick"

The implementation of reset_cpu is from micropython.
